Carlton Main Inspires with a #1 Best Selling Book

This year, we wanted to create more than just a musical programme for Brass in Concert.

We wanted to create a legacy for our own band, promote all brass bands and inspire future generations of young musicians to play brass band instruments.

This was the rationale behind creating our much loved character ‘Albertrom’ and his story.

We are excited to announce that the story which guides you through our 2023 Brass in Concert programme has been published into a beautifully illustrated children’s story book entitled:

𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙁𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣

What’s more… the book has already hit the #1 best seller spot on Amazon in the last few weeks!

We are delighted and excited to share this wonderful book to help inspire young minds and we hope you will enjoy the book too… it’s not often a brass band publishes a children’s story book!

The book has been written for the band by Tabby Kerwin and illustrated by the young and very talented Yorkshire artist Anna Calvert.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 – Albertrom is a smart and bright young boy who is full of energy and loves learning. He is curious; always asking questions and discovering new things.
He loves anything to do with maths and space, but what he loves even more is music and his
little blue trombone.
Albertrom believes that anything is possible and in this adventure he uses music to fuel his
imagination and bring his biggest dream to life; to fly to the moon and play his trombone in
space…. returning with a message of hope that achieving your dreams is possible.

The book is dedicated to everyone that ever had a dream and didn’t think it was possible… but it is!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰…𝐄=𝐦𝐜² … for our BiC programme written by Allan Withington becomes the cinematic backdrop for the book… describing the words and sounds of space and Albertrom’s dreams through the medium of music for brass band, making it an immersive experience.

You can grab your copy of this #1 best seller on Amazon as a paperback or Kindle version. Either search for Albertrom or use this link: https://amzn.to/3G5gdyt

You can read the story during our Brass in Concert programme too… but please remember that if you watch on Wobplay it doesn’t always show the media screen all the time… so you may want to grab a copy to follow along with so you can truly embrace the immersive experience.

As such, you will find the Kindle version currently reduced to make it accessible. If you’re quick… the paperback version is also on an Amazon offer too.

We hope you love this beautiful book and that it finds a place in every child’s hands to fuel imagination, inspire and mostly open up our brass bands to future generations and young minds.
